Pamela Anderson on Whether Meghan Markle’s Cooking Show Copied Hers

Pamela Anderson gave her take on the comparison between her and Meghan Markle’s cooking shows.

During the Sunday, August 3, episode of Watch What Happens Live, host Andy Cohen had Anderson, 58, weigh in while playing the game “Plead the Fifth.”

“On a scale from one to 10, how much of a rip off did you feel like With Love, Meghan was of your show, Pamela’s Cooking With Love?” Cohen, 57, asked the Naked Gun actress.

After Cohen read the question, Anderson looked perplexed.

“One,” she replied, noting that she didn’t see “any similarities” between the two shows.

She continued: “I didn’t really look. I didn’t invent cooking shows. So, I mean … she’s just doing her thing.”

Pamela’s Cooking With Love premiered in February on Food Network Canada, which is now known as Flavour Network. On the cooking series, Anderson invited chefs to her Vancouver Island home to create plant-based meals with ingredients from the actress’ garden.

“Cooking with Love… our little show that’s everything I could ask for—my garden, a little farm on Vancouver Island, and chefs from all over the world. 👩‍🌾,” Anderson wrote via Instagram in March. “I’m so happy that so many of you have loved it—It’s been a dream come true … and fun, fun, fun. Thank you! 🤍✨.”

Markle’s cooking series, With Love, Meghan, premiered in March on Netflix. The show was supposed to drop in January, but it got pushed back due to the California wildfires. Much like Anderson’s series, Markle, 44, brought in friends and famous guests to a California estate to swap cooking, gardening and hosting tips. Following its success, With Love, Meghan was renewed for a second season.

“Oh, how I love ASMR! If you’re loving Season 1, just wait until you see the fun we cooked up on Season 2!” she captioned a March Instagram video, confirming her series will return to Netflix. “Thanks for joining the party, and an endless thanks to the amazing team and crew who helped bring it all to life!”

In addition to launching her cooking show, Markle entered the lifestyle realm as she dropped her brand, As Ever, which sells jams, honeys, baking mixes, flower sprinkles and more.

Anderson is not the only star to not find an issue with Markle’s new ventures. Following With Love, Meghan’s release, Gwyneth Paltrow publicly supported the Duchess of Sussex.

“[When] there’s noise about certain women in the culture, I do have, always, a strong instinct to stand up for them,” Paltrow said in an interview with Vanity Fair in March. “I was raised to see other women as friends, not foes. I think there’s always more than enough to go around. Everybody deserves an attempt at everything that they want to try.”
