90 Day Fiancé alum Leida Margaretha detailed the pain she’s suffered after the death of newborn daughter in an emotional letter to a judge, Us Weekly can report.
As Us previously reported, Margaretha was arrested on July 17 and booked into a Wisconsin jail, shortly after her and her estranged husband Eric Rosenbrook’s baby Alisa Rosenbrook died on July 8. Margaretha, 36, is accused of failing to update her address and phone number with the court, but she explained that the entire situation was a misunderstanding.
“This bail jumping is because I haven’t [updated] my new address and my phone number,” Margaretha wrote on July 17, while she was behind bars on bail jumping charges. At the time, she was out on bond in a separate criminal case.
“The [issue] [has] never been [intentional]. I haven’t done that yet just because a few days ago I lost my child and since then I haven’t even [thought] about anything other than the death of my child and how devastated I am as a mother.”
Margaretha said she never intended to not comply with her bond requirements. She said, “I was unaware because of things going on with my life in the past few weeks.” The 90 Day Fiancé season 6 star asked to be released.
“I have not been [able to] eat or sleep or think clearly since the loss of my child. When my child was only five weeks old. As a mother of the child, I have been spending my life day to day with nothing but mourning.”
She added, “I wish not to be held for this matter as I always want to comply and again this violation has never been my intention to do. This violation arises because I lost my child and it has been [affecting] me mentally.”
Margaretha said she believed the court had the correct phone number for her. She said she was on her way to court when she got arrested.
In her letter, Margaretha said she was on her way to drop the temporary restraining order she obtained against Rosenbrook, 47. As Us previously reported, Rosenbrook was arrested after Margaretha accused him of slapping her on July 4 during an argument about his drinking.
Rosenbrook was charged with misdemeanor battery and misdemeanor disorderly conduct. When contacted for comment by Us, Rosenbrook admitted he was physical with his wife but denied making any contact with their daughter during the incident. A couple of days later, she obtained the restraining order.
As Us first reported, prosecutors demanded Margaretha turn over her passport. They said they learned through a separate investigation that Margaretha had planned to return to Indonesia with her child before the tragic death.
“Based on these statements and due to the serious nature of a separate investigation, there are serious concerns that [Margaretha] is a flight risk and will make herself unavailable for court proceedings in the near future.”
At the hearing on July 18, the court ordered Margaretha to be released. The judge ordered her to surrender her passport and not travel outside of Wisconsin. A hearing has been set for August 21.
Prior to her arrest, Margaretha’s attorney, Taylor Hart, spoke to Us about his client losing her child.
Hart told Us, “Sadly, on July 8, 2025, Alisa Rosenbrook (daughter of Eric and Leida) was removed from life support and passed away.”
Hart added, “Today, the cause and manner of Alisa’s death are unknown. Leida is extremely distraught and is still seeking answers for herself. She loved her baby beyond measure and is struggling with the emotions of losing her child.”
“There are many allegations of wrongdoing being levied against Leida. This is no surprise as she has endured years of unfounded negative publicity and social media attention since her appearance on 90 Day Fiancé in [2018]. Leida would have never harmed her child and she adamantly denies any allegations of wrongdoing,” Margaretha’s lawyer ended.
