Porsha Williams Celebrates Victory in Ex Simon Guobadia Divorce Appeal

Porsha Williams is celebrating her victory after ex Simon Guobadia lost his appeal in their divorce battle, Us Weekly can exclusively report.

Williams, 44, posted on social media, “It’s over” without any details on Tuesday, September 9. The reality star also shared a video of her boarding a private jet captioned, “Free.”

Us can confirm that she was referring to Guobadia’s effort to overturn the divorce judgment that awarded The Real Housewives of Atlanta star monthly support and a cut of their Georgia mansion being shut down.

Us obtained court documents showing the Court of Appeals of the State of Georgia issued an order hours before Williams and Guobadia’s social media back and forth. The court denied Guobadia’s application for a discretionary appeal.

As Us previously reported, Guobadia, 61, was not happy with the divorce judgment entered by the court on June 10, and he responded to Williams’ latest posts by writing, “Here we go again with Mrs 265. Still has learned absolutely nothing. #itsovermyass”

The judge sided with Williams and agreed the prenuptial agreement they signed before getting hitched was enforceable. Guobadia argued the deal was void due to alleged misrepresentations Williams made during negotiations.

Specifically, he claimed she said she would not be returning to RHOA or reality television.

“The Court finds that [Williams] has been a reality TV celebrity for years, which was well known to Husband at the time of negotiating the Prenuptial Agreement, and [Guobadia] nevertheless married Wife with this knowledge,” the divorce order read.

The prenup allowed Williams to live in the $7 million mansion she shared with Guobadia during their relationship. As Us first reported, Guobadia was deported back to his home country of Nigeria in June after issues with his immigration.

Guobadia was also ordered to pay Williams $40,000 per month in spousal support for 14 months. The Bravo star was also awarded 50 percent of the equity in the property, a 2021 Rolls Royce and various other cars. Williams’ ex is also on the hook for $224,000 in legal fees she racked up in the divorce.

At the final hearing, Guobadia told the court his business revenue had dropped drastically after ICE detained him.

He said his business Simcol’s value, which was at one point worth $296 million, was now worth nothing.

The judge wasn’t convinced by the claim and noted that “almost $297 million in business value vanished entirely over the course of a few months, without recourse or recovery, strains credibility.”

Williams filed for divorce from Guobadia in February 2024 after 15 months of marriage. She claimed to be blindsided by his immigration issues.

The exes are also involved in a separate legal battle filed by Simon over alleged defamation. Porsha denied the accusations.

Williams starred on RHOA from season five to season 13. She returned in season 16 and is expected to return for season 17, which is reportedly filming at the moment.
