Taylor Swift showed up to cheer on her fiancé, Travis Kelce, at the soft opening of his swanky new 1587 Prime Steakhouse.
Sources who spotted the couple at the venue said that Swift, 35, and Kelce, 35, were holding hands while making their grand entrance around 6:15 p.m. on Monday, September 8, according to TMZ.
The future Kansas City-based hotspot, a business venture that the Chiefs tight end launched with quarterback Patrick Mahomes, officially opens on September 17.
Onlookers claimed the pop star sported a sideswept hairdo, rocking a blue denim mid-thigh dress and wedges while her beau opted for a green striped shirt and cap.
After exchanging pleasantries with family and friends, the lovebirds “tucked into a semi-private corner booth” before mingling with other attendees including Patrick, 29, and Brittany Mahomes as well as other Chiefs teammates and their wives.
Per TMZ, Swift and Kelce were “trading quick kisses” and “flashing smiles across the room” before wrapping up the night in a quiet back area together.
“With 1587 Prime, we didn’t just set out to create another steakhouse,” Tosh Berman, of hospitality group Noble 33, said in a statement about the eatery. “We worked with Patrick and Travis to capture the essence of Kansas City — its pride, its hospitality, and its passion for great food — while staying true to Noble 33’s brand vision and design aesthetic.”
Kelce and Swift announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post on August 26. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” the caption read alongside photos of Kelce down on one knee.
The NFL star popped the question with an old mine brilliant cut diamond ring set on a gold band, which was designed by Kindred Lubeck at Artifex Fine Jewelry.
Jewelry expert Nilesh Rakholia estimated the ring to be worth six to seven figures, ranging from $950,000 to $1,270,000, telling Us Weekly, “The stone itself looks to be easily in the 7–10 carat range, which immediately places it among the most iconic celebrity engagement rings.”
Another jeweler Laura Taylor spilled to Us that Swift’s dazzling bling could be up to 12 carats, agreeing that it was “easily worth” $1 million.
