Hulk Hogan removed his daughter, Brooke Hogan, from his will two years before his death, Us Weekly can exclusively report.
Us obtained the will that the late WWE star executed in 2016, along with the amendments made in 2017, 2021, 2022 and 2023.
In the final amendment, dated July 28, 2023, Hulk removed Brooke, 37, as a beneficiary of the estate. “Under no circumstances shall Brooke E. Bollea or any descendants of Brooke E. Bollea be considered a beneficiary or my last will and testament, and any reference in this last will and testament to my children or lineal descendants shall not include Brooke E. Bollea and the descendants of Brooke E. Bollea,” the filing read.
Hulk also noted that Brooke and her family were not to serve as representatives of his estate. After his death, sources told TMZ that Brooke asked to be removed from the will.
The insider claimed Brooke wanted to avoid any legal battle over the millions her family was planning to leave behind.
In 2021, Hulk amended his will to remove his ex-wife, Jennifer McDaniel, as a beneficiary after their split.
As Us first reported, Hulk’s son, Nick Hogan, filed court documents on Tuesday, September 9, to be named coadministrator of his dad’s estate.
The other representative is a man named Terry McCoy.
Nick, 35, revealed that the late wrestler’s estate consists of $200,000 in cryptocurrency, $799,000 in personal property and intellectual property valued at $4 million and an unknown value for a potential medical malpractice lawsuit.
TMZ reported that Hulk’s widow, Melanie Sky Daily, planned to file a medical malpractice lawsuit over a surgery Hulk received shortly before his death. Insiders told the outlet that Daily felt the procedure was not done properly.
Nick did not list Hulk’s real estate portfolio in the paperwork filed.
On July 29, Brooke posted a lengthy tribute to her father. The two had been estranged for periods of time in his final years.
On social media, Brooke wrote, “When he left this earth, it felt like part of my spirit left with him. I felt it before the news even reached us,” Brooke wrote. “… I know he’s at peace now, out of pain, and in a place as beautiful as he imagined. He used to speak about this moment with such wonder and hope. Like meeting God was the greatest championship he’d ever have.”
Brooke said the estrangement was the result of many different things.
“I know in my heart I did everything I could,” Brooke wrote. “He knew I would run through a burning building for him. And in many ways, along the path of life, I did. He knows how deeply, how hard and how purely I loved him. I am at peace knowing this.”
As Us previously reported, Hulk died on July 24 at his Florida home. His cause of death was listed as acute myocardial infarction.
On July 25, Daily post wrote on social media, “I wasn’t ready for this…and my heart is in pieces.”
She added, “He had been dealing with some health issues, but I truly believed we would overcome them. I had so much faith in his strength. I thought we still had more time.”
