T.J. Holmes' Family Guide: Ex-Wife Marilee Fiebig, 3 Kids and More

T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach made headlines in late 2022 when they were caught cozying up to each other — despite their respective marriages. Since their relationship was exposed in November 2022, Holmes and Robach have only continued to get more and more serious. Though the former ABC personalities were ousted from the network in January 2023 amid the controversy, they have managed to stay steadfast in their romance — announcing their engagement in October 2025. Holmes and his ex-wife, Marilee Fiebig, tied the knot in October 2010 and welcomed Sabine just over two years later. In addition to Sabine, the former CNN correspondent is also the father of daughter Brianna and son Jaiden with ex-wife Amy Ferson. Fiebig is an immigration lawyer and chief diversity officer of the Save the Children foundation. She and Holmes tied the knot in October 2010 and welcomed daughter Sabine in January 2013.

In a 2014 essay for TheRoot.com, Holmes gushed over his romance with Fiebig, who in turn frequently shared sweet moments with her family of three via Instagram.

“My family and I are closer, my individual net worth has gone up every year since we met, I’ve learned a second language, I’m healthier, I use the N-word less, I listen to Sunday church service more, I’m a better friend, I’m more forgiving than I used to be, I’m more involved in charitable work,” the Arkansas native explained in how his wife had changed him for the better. “In every way, I’m better off because I’m married. So, for me, a successful marriage has revolved around this principle: I like who I am with her.”

Nine years later, it all came crashing down.

“We continue to be disappointed by T.J’s lack of discretion, respect and sensitivity toward Marilee and the party’s daughter,” Fiebig’s attorney said in a statement to Us days after he filed for divorce amid the scandal.

Holmes’ first wife is a television anchor and political commentator who has worked for MSNBC, CNN and more. The exes, who share daughter Brianna and son Jaiden, split in 2007.

Brianna is Holmes’ oldest daughter, whom he shares with Ferson.

Jaiden is Holmes’ only son.

Holmes and Fiebig welcomed daughter Sabine in January 2013.

Both parents appear to have a special bond with their daughter, with Fiebig gushing over their baby girl via Instagram on her 10th birthday in January 2023. Sabine “pours so much goodness into the world,” the lawyer raved at the time.

Holmes — who deleted his social media after his relationship with Robach became public — is also smitten with his youngest. “This bond … ❤️,” Fiebig captioned a photo of the news anchor and Sabine on Father’s Day 2022.

The father-daughter duo were also photographed holding hands at the airport after he came home from a getaway with Robach in February 2023.
