The ‘Tea’ on Why DCC Faith Ward Is Allowed to Wear a Ponytail

1 day ago 1

Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Faith Ward is “setting the record straight” on her voluminous ponytail, which no one else on the team is allowed to wear.

One of the newest members of the team, Ward, 22, opened up about her updo via Instagram on Wednesday, July 23. The New Zealand native shared that the recruiting team was introduced to her with a ponytail in her headshot.

“I’ve been hearing a lot of tales and I’m here to set the record straight,” Ward said in the clip, dressed in her uniform. “As you can see here in my headshot, that’s how it all started. That’s how they found me. That’s how they saw me and I guess they just preferred me with my hair up rather than out.”

Ward added, “There’s not that much tea to it!” before going on to explain that the ponytail made its training camp debut “two weeks into it.”

“They asked me to tie it up and then I kind of just left it that way,” Ward said. “The uniform fittings really confirmed it.”

Ward gushed that Kelli Finglass, the director of the DCC, compared her to Ariana Grande and was here for the look. To make the pony even more dramatic, Ward added extensions to her hair and “went a little bit blonder.”

Ward concluded the video by saying, “Stay tuned to see my cameo and if the pony is here to stay!”

Fans praised Ward’s hairdo in the comments section. “This is so iconic. The girl with the ponytail! 😍,” one wrote, as a second quipped, “Is Faith really Faith if she doesn’t have her iconic slick back ponytail?” More begged for a tutorial on how she gets her hair so voluminous and slicked back: “I love it and will need a pony tutorial- tysm.”

Unlike Faith, all of the other DCC wear their hair down and styled in big, bouncy curls.
