Kate Middleton Stuns in Menswear Look for Solo Outing After Hair Change

Princess Kate Middleton’s style is still the talk of London.

The Princess of Wales stepped out for a solo outing on Thursday, September 11, rocking a black-and-white plaid pantsuit. Her stylish menswear look came as she visited the Sudbury Silk Mills in Sudbury, Suffolk to support the British textile industry. Kate rounded out the day’s events with a separate trip to the Marina Mill in Cuxton, Kent.

Kate’s hair, which has recently made some major headlines, was in its signature bouncy brunette curls — and there was no blonde in sight.

Royal watchers got a first glimpse at Kate’s new blonde hair late last month when she was photographed with husband Prince William through a car window. Kate, 43, then stepped out on September 4 for her and William’s first public outing after their summer break and her honey blonde tresses were on full display.

Social media was abuzz with some people sharing criticisms of her new look and others supporting the Princess of Wales’ changeup.

“She’s been through a real s*** time. Why not enjoy? She’s not afraid of doing that,” former royal butler Grant Harrold told Us Weekly exclusively about Kate’s new look. “It is a bit sad when people are saying, ‘Oh, she’s colored it because she’s ill. Oh … it’s a wig.’ I’m thinking, ‘Leave her alone.’”

Kate’s solo outing on Wednesday comes one day after William was photographed at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales with members of the Jac Lewis Foundation to mark World Suicide Prevention Day. The Prince of Wales was out of the country for royal duties while his brother, Prince Harry met up with their father, King Charles III, for the first time in two years.

News broke on Wednesday, September 10, that Harry, 40, was photographed driving to Charles’ London residence, Clarence House. Us Weekly understands that the father and son met for a private tea, but further details have yet to be revealed.

“Yes, he’s great, thank you,” Harry told reporters on Wednesday when asked about the meeting with his father.

Royal watchers have speculated that Harry and Charles’ meeting is the first step in reconciling their ongoing family feud. Earlier this year, Harry noted that he hopes to end the drama between him and his family in an interview with the BBC.

“I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore,” the Duke of Sussex said in May. “Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has.”
