Nia Sanchez: What’s in My Bag?

Nia Sanchez has everything she could need in her Mina Baie Harper Midi backpack.

Sanchez, 35, exclusively opened up to Us Weekly about everything she keeps in her stylish beige backpack, which retails for $400. From makeup and snacks to headphones and toys for her kids, the former Miss USA is always prepared for what the day might hold.

“I have a lot of small animals,” she quipped, noting her kids’ toy collection includes zebras and dinosaurs. “Kids’ imaginations are great. You just throw some figurines in front of them and they’ll be entertained for quite some time,” she told Us. Sanchez shares three kids with her husband Danny Booko: son Asher, 3, twin daughters Isabelle and Zariah, 2, and 3-month-old daughter Adelaide, whom they welcomed in June 2025.

In true mom fashion, Sanchez joked to Us that the thing she most needs to clean out of her backpack isn’t old lipsticks, but spilled Cheerios. “They’re just like, everywhere,” she admitted. While she still has some loose cereal in her bag, The Valley star shared that the biggest mess in her backpack was actually a smoothie pouch that spilled. “The worst thing ever,” the pageant queen explained. “Especially when you didn’t discover it until a few hours later.” The most useful mom item in her purse? The Motif Luna Breast Pump.

“From season 1 of The Valley and right now while I’m in Michigan, I bring it everywhere. It is my go-to breast pump,” she explained to Us.

Makeup and Fashion Accessories

Sanchez told Us that she keeps her makeup condensed in a vegan leather bag inside of her backpack. “I still use the same compact that I used in high school — the MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation. Literally the same color I’ve used since high school,” Sanchez said. “My lip gloss is Pat McGrath Lab.”

The TV personality also shared that she uses Fenty Beauty’s mascara, Mac Cosmetics Whirl lip liner pencil, Laneige’s lip glowy balm in Peach as well as NYX Cosmetics purple eyeliner.

When it comes to hair accessories, Sanchez said she keeps a tan hat that she made herself while filming The Valley. “It reflects my entire life. It says ‘tired but happy,’” she said.

The last accessory Sanchez always has with her is her OPTX Eyewear sunglasses, which she was gifted by the brand when she was Miss USA in 2014.

Wallet

Instead of keeping a traditional wallet with her, Sanchez uses a Bandolier phone case that stores her ID, her credit card and her debit card. “It has a strap on it so [I can] throw [it] over my shoulder [and] my hands are free.”

Sanchez has more cards in her digital wallet, including a Starbucks card, a pass to Kids Space Museum in Pasadena, and her membership card to the L.A. Zoo.

Keys

Sanchez keeps her keys as simple as possible — with her minivan key, her house key and the mailbox key on her chain. “And then we have a metal [pendant] that was an anniversary gift that I got from [Daniel.]”

Mom Necessities

“The number one is the Motif Luna Breast Pump,” Sanchez explained. “From season 1 of The Valley and right now while I’m in Michigan, I bring it everywhere. It is my go-to breast pump.”

Sanchez also carries homemade snacks that her mom makes for her, as well as “smoothie pouches or string cheese or cut up apples” for her kids.

Tech items

The Bravo star always has her AirPods on her and occasionally her laptop if she’s “working.”

“Half the time I have a tripod with me, because you wanna capture memories even if you’re just at the park and there’s nowhere to put your phone,” she added.

Travel must-haves

Sanchez doesn’t travel anywhere without her eye mask and earplugs. “For some reason when I’m not with my kids and I have a minute, I truly can sleep anywhere, anytime,” she told Us.
