Pamela Anderson, Liam Neeson Reveal How Many Times They've Each Been in Love

Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson’s romance has warmed fans’ hearts, but it’s not the first time the pair have been head over heels for someone.

During a joint appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on Sunday, August 3, Anderson, 58, and Neeson, 73, were both asked by Andy Cohen how many times they have each been “truly in love.”

Anderson sighed before saying, “One and a half,” while Neeson said, “I think two.”

The actress was most recently married to bodyguard Dan Hayhurst. They quietly tied the knot at her home on Vancouver Island in Canada in December 2020.

“I’m exactly where I need to be — in the arms of a man who truly loves me,” she told Daily Mail in January 2021, while also sharing wedding photos from the intimate celebration.

Anderson and Hayhurst split just over one year later. Prior to her marriage to Hayhurst, Anderson was married to Tommy Lee from 1995 to 1998, Kid Rock from 2006 to 2007 and Rick Salomon from 2007 to 2008 and again from 2014 to 2015.

Neeson, for his part, was in a relationship with Helen Mirren from 1980 to 1985. Mirren, 80, recently spoke out about their romance and how she will always have adoration for the Taken star.

“When we had our talks about our dreams, and that was very much Liam’s dream, it was highly unlikely at that point to ever come to fruition,” Mirren told The New York Times in July. “But that’s what Liam would talk about, and it’s extraordinary to see it happen for him. I will love Liam until the day I die.”

Neeson ultimately walked down the aisle with Anna Christie costar Natasha Richardson in 1994. They were married up until the actress’ death in 2009 after a ski accident at age 45.

Neeson got candid about managing his grief and the impossible feeling of coming to terms with the fact that Richardson was never coming back home.

“There’s periods now in our New York residence when I hear the door opening, especially the first couple of years, she would always drop the keys in the — on the table. Say, ‘Hello?’” Neeson said during a 60 Minutes interview in February 2014.

He continued, “So anytime I hear that door opening I still think I’m gonna hear her, you know. And, then, it’s — grief’s like — it hits you. It’s like a wave. You just get this profound feeling of instability. You feel like a three-legged table. Just suddenly you just — the Earth isn’t stable anymore. And then it passes and becomes more infrequent, but I still get it sometimes.”

The actor has entered a new chapter of his life with Anderson, whom he met while working on The Naked Gun. Us Weekly confirmed that Neeson and Anderson were dating after packing on the PDA at their press tour for the film in July.

There’s been no shortage of sweet moments between the pair as they’ve continued to make joint appearances following the film’s August 1 release. Elsewhere in their WWHL interview, Anderson revealed that the sweetest thing about Neeson is that he is “so kind and generous,” while he gushed about her “spirit.”
