Shahs of Sunset alum Mercedes “MJ” Javid filed for divorce from her estranged husband, Tommy Feight, after seven years of marriage, Us Weekly can report.
On Friday, October 17, Javid filed a petition for divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court. She listed the date of marriage as March 21, 2018, and the date of separation as the date of the filing.
Javid, 53, cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split and asked that neither party be awarded spousal support.
The exes share a 6-year-old son named Shams. Javid requested the court award her primary legal and physical custody of their child. She proposed her ex being granted visitation.
In a separate filing, Javid told the court, “I have been the parent primarily involved in the caregiving and overall needs of our minor son. I take our son to school and pick him up every day. I also organize and take our son to his play-dates, parties, doctor’s, and dentist’s appointments.”
The Bravo star added, “Likewise, I am responsible for his extracurricular activities and school activities with little to no involvement from [Feight]. My hours of employment are entirely within my control which allow me the flexibility to continue being primarily responsible for our son in this way.”
“By no means do I want to alienate [Feight] from our son and I am more than happy to mutually agree to additional visitations or modifications in the best interest of our son.”
Feight, 53, has yet to respond to the divorce petition.
On June 15, Javid shared a nice message to her then-husband on Instagram. She wrote, “Happy Father’s Day my love. You’re such a good dad. Shams Francis and I have the best times with you. And we don’t have as much fun unless we are with you. Best of times.
Back in 2023, Feight celebrated the then couple’s wedding anniversary. He wrote, “5 years ago we took our leap into forever and ever! I am eternally grateful to have you by my side – Happy Anniversary @mercedesjavid – P.S. thanks for the kid.”
Javid and Feight met in 2015 and got engaged the following year. . In 2017, Javid spoke to E! News about her engagement. The reality star said, “We got engaged a year in and then we went through a lot of ups and downs with family and just a lot of life curveballs.”

Javid added, “My dad took a turn for his health … and Tommy and I moved in together. All of these stressful things just made our bond even tighter and when you have so many important life things happening, you don’t pick fights with each other. You just want to stay sane and have as much gratitude and support for one another.”
Javid starred on all nine seasons of Shahs of Sunset. Back in April 2022, TMZ reported Bravo canceled the reality show.
In May, Bravo announced Javid and two of her Shahs of Sunset costars, Reza Farahan and Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi, would be coming back to the network with a new reality show called The Valley Persian Style.
