Big Brother 27’s Mickey Lee thought she was rocking a crochet hat designed by season 26 alum T’kor Clottey, but the accessory turned out to be a dupe.
“I just found out that, I guess it’s not,” Mickey, 35, exclusively told Us Weekly on Friday, September 5, after learning the hat was not an authentic T’kor design following her eviction from the Big Brother house.
Mickey explained that she was not the one who purchased the accessory. Instead, it had been gifted to her by someone she was dating.
“What’s funny is, I was seeing a guy before I came in here, and he gifted me with two hats because he [knew] I was a Big Brother fan,” she said. “And he said they were from her line, and which is why I was so happy to wear them and support her.”
Mickey admitted that learning that the hat was not one of T’kor’s designs was “very unfortunate,” but she now plans on going to “buy something of hers” for herself.
Before competing on Big Brother in 2024, T’kor, now 26, founded her brand T’kor Couture in 2020. The brand specializes in crochet items, including hats. During her time on the series, T’kor rocked multiple of her own designs.
This season, Mickey donned a hot pink crochet bucket hat that was reminiscent of what T’kor wore last year. At one point on the live feeds, Mickey gave T’kor a shout-out, claiming it was one of her products in a conversation with fellow houseguest Rachel Reilly. Rachel gushed about how much she loved the hat and wanted to know where she got it.
“T’kor Couture,” Mickey answered, per a social media clip from the live feeds, and Rachel excitedly replied, “Oh my God, actual T’kor?”
Mickey doubled down and replied yes, stating that she “loves to support businesses.” Rachel added that T’kor was going to love that Mickey was wearing one of her designs while playing the game.
“I’m not even a hat girlie, but I’m like, OK, let me try to find a way to wear this and shout her out,” Mickey told Us on Friday about why she wanted to shout out the crochet designer.
The moment went viral on social media, and fans investigated the hat for themselves. While T’kor’s website currently does not list Mickey’s hat as one option, other users were able to find the item on Shein.
Big Brother 26 winner Chelsie Baham weighed in on the social media speculation, sharing that she had talked to T’kor about Mickey’s hat.
“The voice memo I got from TKor saying that ain’t her hat…. 😂😂😂😂😂,” Chelsie wrote via X earlier this month. “WHYYYYY, MICKEEYYYY?!”

Mickey was evicted from the Big Brother house on Thursday, September 4, making her the last member of the pre-jury. The event curator seemed like a front-runner to win. However, her game took a nose-dive after she sent ally Jimmy Heagerty packing during week 4. While the move was bold, it instantly made her a target. However, Mickey stands by her decision to take out Jimmy.
“I don’t really regret it, just because I do think there were valid reasons for him to be nominated based on him not looking out for my game as he said he was,” Mickey told Us. “I do think that he, you know, was fueling some things that could have potentially got me nominated and unfortunately evicted prior to I got myself evicted. So I think those things still stand.”
