It’s almost time to tune in for the 77th annual Emmy Awards.

The 2025 award ceremony, which will air on CBS Sunday, September 14, features comedian Nate Bargatze as a first-time host.

“It’s a huge honor to be asked to host such an iconic awards show and I’m beyond excited to work with CBS to create a night that can be enjoyed by families around the world,” Bargatze, 46, said in a July 2025 statement.

The nominees, unveiled in July 2025, include Apple TV+’s Severance with 27 nominations for its second season, HBO Max’s inaugural season of The Pitt, Netflix’s Adolescence and AppleTV+’s The Studio.

As for the 2025 recipients of the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award, Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen will become the first duo to jointly receive the award.

“Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen have long used their voices, and their hearts, to champion causes that uplift the planet and its people,” Cris Abrego, chair of the Television Academy, shared in a statement. “From environmental advocacy to humanitarian relief, they lead with grace, integrity and purpose. The Television Academy is proud to honor their extraordinary legacy of service with the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award.”
